Mobility Veteran Ben Bear Joins Populus as an Advisor

Today, we are delighted to welcome Ben Bear as a new Advisor to Populus. In the rapidly-growing micromobility space, Ben led an industry-leading city partnerships team at Spin as their Chief Business Officer before taking on the role of CEO in 2021.

Ben spent the last half-decade at the forefront of mobility technology and city partnerships, as a trusted partner to cities and innovative partner to mobility companies in the transportation technology ecosystem. Under Ben’s leadership, Spin was the first micromobility operator to partner with Populus to bring a mobility data solution to cities in addition to other new technologies like charging stations and computer vision based sidewalk detection.

Since our company’s founding in 2017, Populus has been committed to building partnerships with cities that accelerate their ability to adopt and leverage new technology to deliver safe, sustainable streets. As we continue to grow our service solutions for cities to reduce conflicts at the curb between micromobility, freight delivery, and autonomous vehicles, we are excited to welcome Ben and his expertise.

“I’m thrilled to join Populus as a part-time strategic advisor to CEO Regina Clewlow. Regina is a brilliant thinker and operator who has grown Populus to 100 cities in just a few years,” Bear said. “Under her leadership, Populus is positioned to be the global system of record for mobility and curb data.”

“We are delighted to bring Ben’s expertise and reputation in the transportation industry to the team,” said Regina Clewlow, CEO of Populus. “He has been a key partner in the industry over the past few years, and brings a breadth of experience in developing city and mobility operator partnerships.”

Welcome to Populus, Ben!
